3rd Quarter Mission Video

At times it's good to be reminded of why we exist as a family of churches. We exist to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ by planting and strengthening churches throughout the world for the glory of God. But we do that together, as a family of churches.

In John 13:35 Jesus says, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” One of the ways that we display the gospel of Jesus Christ is by loving one another, and caring for one another. Our 3rd Quarter Sovereign Grace Mission Video is just a glimpse of one story in one local church. There are thousands of these kind of stories in Sovereign Grace churches globally.

In this video, Jared and Meghan Mellinger share the story of the cancer diagnosis and ensuing year of trial they walked out with their 3-year-old daughter. What Jared and Meghan share is so important because it’s not only an expression of our value of church care, but because it shows us another glimpse of the character of God. Our Father doesn’t allow one day or one trial to be wasted. And we walk this road together.

For many of you, you faithfully support our family of churches financially. It is because of your generosity that we are able to care for families like Jared and Meghan in Glen Mills and all the others, across the globe in our small family of churches. Your money has a direct connection to our opportunity to care for others. So, thank you. Thank you for your investment into caring for the people of God!

As we continue to serve local churches and families, we continue to see a need for ongoing financial support. The money you give goes to not only support local churches but plant new churches as well so new families can hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. Would you be willing to give to Sovereign Grace Churches? As you consider, please visit our giving page.

I hope you’ll take time to watch this video. Jared and Meghan are not only friends, but Jared is my pastor. It’s a privilege to watch the grace at work in these two. I hope you’ll join me in thanking God for them and his work within them.

Mark Prater is the Executive Director for Sovereign Grace and serves as an elder at Covenant Fellowship Church. He and his wife, Jill, have three married daughters and a growing number of grandchildren.
